While no two love stories are the same — we know there are some moments that are “extra” special in all weddings — the look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time, the tears on her father’s face when he dances with her — the father and daughter together, the private moment in the mirror each bride has with herself — just after she’s dressed, and just before she heads to her wedding… All of the work, the stress, the details melt away as she surrenders to the moment, and is swept toward the aisle and her waiting groom.

Many people ask us what “Kokoro” means. It is the Japanese word for “heart, spirit or soul”, and it’s a word inspired by Amanda’s experience teaching in the Japanese school system after graduating from college. Both of us, Debi and Amanda, are passionate about the photography profession — and the word “Kokoro” clearly reflects our passion to reveal your heart, your spirit, your soul in each image we capture for you.
